Construction Dumpster Rental in Citrus County: 30 and 40 Yard Roll-Offs
Call and we will connect you with an independent local provider.
CALL NOW: (352) 765-8040Building or remodeling in Citrus County? A large roll-off keeps the jobsite clean and the inspector happy. Call (352) 765-8040 to reach an independent local hauler who serves contractors, builders and owner-builders. We are a referral service and do not haul debris ourselves.
Sizes for construction work
- 30 yard. About nine pickup loads. Good for additions, large remodels, multi-room flooring and mid-size demolition.
- 40 yard. About twelve pickup loads. Good for new home builds, commercial cleanouts and large tear-downs. Tall walls make it harder to load by hand, so plan on a loader or a ramp.
For a single bathroom or a concrete-only job, a 10 yard fits better. For most residential remodels, start with a 20 yard.
Citrus County is still building
New homes keep going up in Citrus Springs, Citrus Hills, Pine Ridge and around Lecanto, and the county's population has climbed past 150,000. Builders need dependable roll-off service that shows up on time and swaps full boxes fast. Small local haulers often answer their own phones and can turn a swap around the same or next day, which keeps framing and drywall crews moving.
Swap-outs and ongoing service
On longer projects, ask for a recurring swap: the hauler removes the full container and drops an empty one in the same spot. Ask your provider:
- How fast can you swap after I call?
- Is there a monthly rate for builds that run several months?
- Can you bill my company on account?
- Do you provide certificates of insurance for the general contractor or HOA?
Weight and debris types
Construction debris is heavier than household junk. Lumber, drywall, roofing, tile and block can push a 30 or 40 yard past its included tonnage quickly. Many haulers price these loads differently:
- Mixed C&D. Lumber, drywall, flooring, cabinets and packaging.
- Clean concrete, block and brick. Usually only allowed in a small container, filled to a line, because of weight. Some haulers recycle clean concrete for a lower rate.
- Clean yard debris and land clearing. Often cheaper to dispose of when kept separate from construction trash.
- Roofing. See our roofing dumpster page.
Keeping materials separate can lower disposal costs, because landfills charge by the ton and by the type of waste.
Placement on a jobsite
A 30 or 40 yard needs a level spot about 22 feet long and 8 feet wide, plus room for the truck to approach in a straight line. On new lots with fresh fill and sandy soil, set the box where the truck will not sink after a summer storm. Keep the container clear of the driveway apron if a concrete pour is coming. If the box must sit in a county right-of-way, a permit may be needed from Citrus County Public Works.
Pricing
Construction roll-offs are priced on size, rental length, tonnage and haul distance. The Central Landfill near Lecanto charges haulers by the ton, and that cost is part of the price. Long-term builds usually get better rates. Call (352) 765-8040 for a quote that fits your schedule.
Keeping the site compliant
- Do not overfill past the top rail. Haulers will not move an overloaded box.
- No hazardous materials: solvents, liquid paint, fuel, asbestos or treated chemicals need separate disposal.
- Cover the load if wind is blowing debris onto neighbors' lots.
